Executive Director

Eli Rollman, CCF Executive Director

Eli Rollman joined CCF as our first Executive Director in 2017. His many years of working with and on behalf of young people include starting an educational consulting company, Power Through Education; serving as School Director with the Schuler Scholar Program, where he helped low-income students prepare for college success; teaching social studies at Lakes Community High School in northern Illinois; and holding various leadership positions with Children’s International Summer Villages in Canada.

Eli holds a B.A. from Oberlin College and an M.S.Ed. and J.D. from Northwestern University. He serves on the Executive Board of Mano a Mano Family Resource Center, and enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, and spending time with his wife and two children. His chess game is decent, and he’s a former world record holder in stacking Scrabble tiles.

 Programs Manager

Matthew Kearney joined the CCF staff as the Programs Manager at the end of 2017. He brings a diverse experience of using enrichment activities as a vehicle for youth development in the U.S., Asia, and Africa. He spent time as an Athletics and Activities Director and Physical Education Teacher at St. Constantine’s International School in Arusha; worked as a Senior Basketball Coach and Education Assistant at Promo Jeune Basket in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo; and has been an Assistant Basketball Coach at Concordia University Chicago.

Matthew also has taught and coached youth through summer camps in China, South Korea, Latvia, Turkey and Rwanda. Growing up in South Korea, he came to the USA to get his B.S. in Physical Education and Health from Olivet Nazarene University. He’s enthusiastic about sports, exploring new cities, and hip-hop culture. He is the first to admit that he has a lot to learn to improve his chess game, but is very excited to compete in his first competitive tournament in the near future.
